meet Nancy

Born 1966 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Nancy grew up in the Rhineland, Germany, where her father build a 13 m cement yacht.  Being left on her own for the most part of her young life, Nancy explored nature around her, always in search of animals. As a young teenager the family moved back to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, after selling the yacht in Holland.

In her late teens Nancy moved back to Germany where she met her future husband. Together they raised and homeschooled four children.

It was in 2002, that the entire family decided to move back to Canada, only this time to British Columbia.

Once all her children were finished with school, Nancy wrote 4 books and studied Egyptology through the University of Manchester, England.

Nancy always found a little time throughout the years to experience with watercolours, silk painting, and painting murals.

After her fourth book was published, Nancy has been fully focused on her painting, diving deeper, and learning new techniques and skills. The love for animals can be seen throughout her work.

Nancy lives in the northwestern part of British Columbia, with their many goats, chickens, dogs and cats.

The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life. ~Robert Louis Stevenson
